The Rome Philharmonic Orchestra, because of the repertoire that spans from the classical music to the music of today, supports any type of artistic and musical demand: concerts in theaters, auditoriums, open spaces, recordings of cds, dvds, soundtracks, cinema performaces and television, theatrical and musical shows.
The Orchestra can perform in different ensembles, such as:

Symphonic Orchestra and Choir

It is the biggest and fullest ensemble (around 60 people or more), that includes any orchestral section (strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion). In some cases the choir and soloists are added. It is perfect to perform classical music (symphonies, overtures, oratorios)opera, soundtracks and musicals.

Chamber Orchestra

It is a smaller ensemble. The size varies from 25 to 40 people between a medium-sized string ensemble, some woodwinds, some brass and percussion where it is needed. It is ready to perform baroque music (Bach, Handel), contemporary music and theatrical performances.

Strings Orchestra

It is the only string ensemble varying from around 9 to 25 people. It performs original compositions that can be classical or contemporary.

Brass Quintet and Ensemble

The brass section can do very original ensembles: the most used is the quintet (two trumpets, horn, trombone and tuba) that can perform any type of music, from Renaissance music to Soundtracks, from Baroque and Classical transcriptions to Overtures and Opera, Olympic themes, Musicals and Songs. The musical background that the quintet creates is very appreciated during weddings, conventions, cerimonials, etc...

It is possible to add some other brass and percussion (when needed) to create an ensemble of around 15 people. This ensemble can perform as the quintet and also it can perform themed concerts such as: Soundtracks in Concert, Star Wars, Tribute to Gerswhin, The Baroque and the Brass, etc...
