P. CARLO COLAFRANCESCHI

 

Composer and Pastor of the S. Camillo de Lellis orders (Camilliani), born in Rome.

After theological studies at the Pontificia Universitą Gregoriana and specializing in the Theology of  Religious Life at the Pontificia Universitą Lateranense, he continued his studies at the Pontificio Istituto di Musica Sacra in Rome where he earned a Masters in  Gregorian Chant under Mons. Igino Angles, head and supervisor of the dissertation on Ciociaria's Popular Songs.He studied sacred composition with M° Dante D'Ambrosi and choir conducting with M° Domenico Bartolucci.As a composer he has produced madrigals, canzones, antiphonies for polyphonic choir, sacred hymns and sonatas for piano and saxophone.He has written the lyrics and composed the music of four Sacred Oratorios: "La Divina Misericordia", "La Madre della Misericordia", "San Giuseppe, il Custode della Divina Misericordia", "San Camillo de Lellis" for  Soloist, Chorus and symphonic orchestra, arranged by M° Ezio Monti and transmitted on TV and Radio.
